I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Biochemistry and then went on to get my law degree from the University of Nebraska – College of Law in 2008. During law school I was a member of the law school trial team, a CALI award recipient, and was admitted to the Order of Barristers for my outstanding advocacy skills.

After law school, I was a Deputy County Attorney in both York and Lancaster County where I gained extensive courtroom experience while handling high-level criminal prosecutions. I spent several years handling civil litigation for Lancaster County, and I am skilled at handling all aspects of litigation. I was also an Assistant Attorney General, specializing in the criminal prosecution of white-collar and government corruption cases. By the time I moved into private practice, I had hundreds of bench trials and over fifty jury trials under my belt. Prior to opening Swaroff Law, I worked for a boutique family law firm in Omaha.

Due to my specialized training in the intersection of mental health issues and the law, I have presented at numerous training sessions for law enforcement and mental health professionals. I have also been an adjunct instructor for Wesleyan University and I currently am an adjunct at the University of Nebraska - College of Law teaching Trial Advocacy.
